Bruce gives up on Spurs forward

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has admitted that he is unlikely to sign Peter Crouch.

The Black Cats are looking to sign a new target man after selling Kenwyne Jones to Stoke City yesterday.

Harry Redknapp has already stated his intention to keep Crouch at White Hart Lane for the upcoming campaign.

Bruce told reporters: “I’ve heard from Harry and I don’t think he’ll let Crouch go.”
