Sunderland boss Steve Bruce confirms he has held talks with Sol Campbell.
The England defender left Arsenal during the summer after his contract expired at the Emirates and has travelled north to meet up with Bruce.
“I have known Sol Campbell for a lot of years and it was nice to see him,” said Bruce.
“We had a catch up to see what his ideas are and what he is up to.
“It was pretty positive stuff and we will see what happens there.”
